Identifying the cultural core of a rapidly growing start-up
The challenge
Aeromon is scaling up its team size and opreations substantially in the upcoming months. To keep and strengthen the strong culture of the company, they wanted to identify and document the cultural core and the values that can’t be lost or compromised while scaling.
The journey and the outcome
After initial joint planning with Aeromon, eight in-depth interviews with selected team members and formed a comprehensive analysis of the current state providing insights into the existing cultural landscape. This served as the foundation for actionable recommendations aimed at preserving and nurturing the cultural core amidst growth, but provided also a wider view of development opportunities.
Based on the insights, a concise textual version of the company's culture playbook was created, encapsulating the core beliefs and values that defined the organisation. Supported by concrete examples of how these principles manifested in everyday practices, the playbook provides a roadmap for integrating culture into core human processes. From recruitment to onboarding and leadership development, the recommendations ensure that the cultural DNA is nurtured and developed intentionally, guiding the growth journey of Aeromon.
My role
We collaborated closely with Aeromon’s leadership team, and I designed, led and facilitated this two-phased process resulting in the assessment and Culture handbook. The recommendations for short and long-term development opportunities were a combination of the Aeromon interview insights and my point of view and best practices based on my previous experience in business, operational and leadership.
